We ate the cinnabon, very sinful treat..a gift by the food expert on his birthday eve. Sinful indeed! Kasarap sabi ni Josh and I so agree. More! More! More!

Anyway, we went to Astralis on his birthday, a restaurant by Diamond Hotel. We learned about it over Clickthecity and since Josh wanted their angus beef, we gave it a try.

I can’t write about food because I’m more of an eater than a writer(ha!) but I can say that our $31 bill was oh so worth it.

Yun lang. Happy Birthday ulit! Ano birthday present mo sa kin? Hahaha!

This post is a tad too late but it’s always nice to remember yesterday. You see, Josh and I have been married for almost 10 months now but I will never forget the months before the wedding.

There was the engagement of course. I actually forgot about that we were approaching the 1st year mark of his proposal…our engagement. I was reminding him about it days before but I forgot on the day itself.

I’m the type who remembers every important date and would see to it that we celebrate. But this time, Josh remembered to make it extra special. No, we didn’t go out this time. We didn’t spend lots of money. I just asked him to buy us dinner because I didn’t want to cook anymore.

So he bought us dinner from KFC. Fine, it’s cheap but it was a hearty meal. But what made the night more special were the half dozen roses he surprised me with. He doesn’t always do that so I was actually touched that he remembered to give me something. Haha!

We had a very short engagement. Three months to be exact. He proposed on October 16, 2008 and we got married January 20 the following year. I didn’t want to go through the long months of waiting and preparing for a wedding so we decided to get married soon. Make that, we wanted to get married soon enough. We did obviously and we’re living every minute of our married life happy and blessed.

This was just the 1st Proposal Day Anniversary. We just made it up. Haha! I know I’ll write a longer piece on our 1st Wedding Anniversary. Mush. Mush. Mush.

As most of you don’t know, I am way ahead of Joshua when we were in school. I was 15 when I entered college and he was also 15 when he was in 2nd year high school. Haha. Since he studied in Ateneo, he had to go through Grade 7. He even went through Nursery, Kindergarten, and Prep while I only had to go through Kindergarten once before I stepped into Grade One, and yes, wala kaming Grade 6. In other words, isang taon lang ako nag-aral tapos Grade 1 na agad. Yun. (Yabang no? Haha.) Basta student number ko 99, sya 02. Graduate ako ng ‘03 sya ‘06. Tsk. I’m 25, he’s 24. I’m 5′7″, he’s 5′X”.

So what’s the point? Wala. It just so happened Josh and I visited our schools last Friday, Aug. 22, because he needed to get a copy of his diploma for his new job (yey!). Since he was going, I decided to go too and get mine from UP after what, 5 years? Gosh. I can’t believe it’s been that long. I’ve only been to Peyups five times since I submitted my thesis. First time to get my Sablay, second for my graduation, third to have dinner at Chocolate Kiss, fourth after we visited the Mango Farm and I wanted to eat at Rodics, and lastly, for our pre-nup shoot.

Josh, on the other hand, hasn’t been to Ateneo since his graduation so imagine his excitement that he’d be going to what has been his 2nd home for almost two decades. He’s a Blue Blooded Atenean, meaning he studied Grade School, High School, and College there. And he’s very, very, very proud of that. (Hay naku sakit sa ulo.)

Ang haba na nang kwento wala namang kwenta. Basta, we rode the trike to the Boni station, then the MRT, then UP Pantranco jeep to UP. Went to MassCom, my college, to get my diploma but wala, I didn’t have my transcript or clearance with me. I ate CMC fishballs, my favorite and the best in the whole world. Naglakad papuntang PHAN to meet Sam and get the car. Sabay bili ng ice cream sa tapat ng AS. And then off to Katipunan.

Hindi ko talaga madescribe pero Josh was just too happy, nostalgic. He asked me to take a photo of the new logo pa. Haha. Tawa lang sya when he saw the posters/billboards of the bball players. Parang nasa EDSA kasi. Hehe.

We went to his tambayan, Berch, to see if there were some people he knew. Sadly, there was none. Not even a bench. =( Ang sad, sad, sad nya. So meaning, wala ng bagong generation ng Berch Boys. Sigh.

Madami daw bagong buildings. Tama. He was just too amazed but he said nothing much has changed. Same old, same old. Dumami lang siguro ang WiFi zones.

He wasn’t able to get his diploma too because there was no signature yet. Ha? After 2 years wala pa rin so we have to come back after a month pa. Next month malamand, adventure na naman for me. Hahaha.

Hahaha. Hindi ko na alam so kinwento ko kay Sam. It turned out, nagoyo pa kami ng drayber kasi 11 pesos lang pala ang from Q Ave to UP. Hekhek.

My husband Joshua and I were supposed to leave last Aug 8, Friday but Mommy Vi(Josh’s lola) passed away last Aug 6, Wednesday. It was a tough and trying time for the family but we know that she is indeed in a better place.

It was a much needed vacation for him after resigning from Deutsche Bank and the recent turn of events. I rebooked our flight to Monday, Aug 11 instead. I knew Josh was very much excited because he couldn’t wait to get away and relax for a while. =)

Praise be to God for a wonderful weekend with the family! Thank God for His provisions. =)

We left Manila at 8:45 pm and got there at 11:15 pm. We chose to stay overnight in a hotel instead of a daytrip because we wanted to get out of the city and relax. It was all good! Our trip didn’t come cheap though since we had to shell out money. But hey, everything was worth it.
